We wish to create a unique experience for all and to that end, ask that only serious children writers apply.
If you are interested in our 2026 workshop, registration opens in September. An early notification for registration will be sent two weeks prior.
Once registration opens, we ask that you send 3 sample pages of your work (double space / 12 point font and 1” margins all around) to: lisa@bigsurchildrenswriters.com. Submitted material does not have to be the work you plan on bringing to the workshop.
Once we’ve reviewed your material, we will contact you directly.
Please know this workshop fills up quickly and there is limited space available.
Your fee includes four critique group sessions (two mentors for two sessions), all panel discussions, Friday and Saturday night stay, dinner on Friday and Saturday night, and lunch on Saturday. Breakfast and drinks are your responsibility.
Do you have a guest or spouse accompanying you who is not attending the conference? If they wish to join us for meals, an additional fee of $385 will be incurred.
